Born in Santander, Spain, in 1958, Graciela Rodríguez Alonso has a degree in Biology (specialty Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) from Madrid Autónoma University as well as a degree in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature from Madrid Complutense University. Her double education in both areas, sciences and humanities, has been key in her trajectory as a writer.
Before dedicating to writing and after obtaining her Master degree in Computing she developed her professional career in the area of Information Systems for fifteen years, from which the last twelve she worked as MIS manager for Reuters Spain. Led by her vocation for literature she got first her Master degree in Creative Writing from Madrid Escuela de Letras and then her degree in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature.
She has contributed to the digital magazine Culturamas during the years 2010 and 2011:
